About
I'm Cheng Yang. I live in the San Francisco Bay Area, and I build products and the teams that make them.
Right now I'm building PrintVerse, which uses AI to turn photos and illustrations into 3D models anyone can print, with no modeling skills required. I also advise startups working on data for AI and robotics.
Before this I worked at Scale AI, AWS, Uber, and LinkedIn, going from engineer to tech lead to manager along the way, and co-founded Circolo, a fitness-tech startup that made both hardware and software.
Away from coding, I played a lot of tennis back in college. These days it's mostly pickleball.

I write here a few times a year, mostly about building things, AI, and whatever I've been thinking about for too long. Some posts include interactive pieces you can poke at. Subscribe via RSS if you'd like to know when something new shows up.
